Intentionally skipping a book like this really makes no sense. Name character with two major feature films under his belt. Award winning creators, legends even. No dependence on continuity. It's pretty much tailor made to appeal to a large group of people with varying exposure.
I've been getting disgusted with how fast the stacks of monthly comics pile up and tipple over despite my best efforts to get rid of most of them, but one-shots like this and the BoB/Hellboy book are a good argument for floppies.
The Beasts of Burden/Hellboy one shot was awesome. It was like a Scooby Doo episode with a guest star.
