Now, I really want Chap to become a regular RG contributor. The dynamic between him and Squid would perhaps be even more entertaining than the exchanges between Fourthy and Punchy.

I didn't like this issue a whole lot. The story beats were pretty predictable, and it was a little too melodramatic for my tastes. I did like the last page that showed Ted Kord's tombstone throughout time. He may be dead but his memory and legacy will endure. The art by Chris Batista and co. was strong for most of the issue, but kinda faltered in the end. I think this is gonna be the last issue of Booster Gold I'm gonna read for the foreseeable future.

Nah really, apparently Chap22 and I don't like the same comics but it just caught me at a bad moment when my blood pressure was up over something else. It was absurd to take anything Chap says seriously.

as for the "idiot" comment...yeah, that shouldn't be taken seriously. but only b/c i don't know you well enough, nor have i done the appropriate legwork, to truly stand behind that accusation. from what i've seen, you can at least form complete sentences, so i'll give you some benefit of the doubt, even if your comics opinions aregenerally entirely wrong-headed. :wink:

Chap, you should seriously reconsider your refusal of Review Group Membership. There have been good comics that get scored low who needs an advocate like you to defend them. We have the hipsters, we have the British teens, what we don't have is an old school comic lover. You'd complete us, chap.

DeMatteis has some strong work under his belt over the years, but I'm not reviewing his career just this issue and only this issue of Booster Gold.

i've thought about it, but i'd feel bad b/c there'd probably be weeks at a time where i couldn't contribute. either b/c my LCS doesn't carry the book picked, or b/c i just refuse on principle to read any trash that John Snow selects. :wink:

Once a month is all we ask, and LCS not carrying the book is a valid excuse to get an extension on that month. Plus, I'm in the process of developing a Review Group Mail System to pass around books to encourage more reviews.

Also, people refuse to read books out of principle all the time. See the last two weeks of threads for proof.
