The original thread is on Ol' Rama. Plus, I wasn't able to read the trade until recently.

Four Eyes #1

Is it deserving of it's 9+ score? Nope. Does that make it a bad comic? Nope. The world of Four Eyes is lively and engaging. I can't say that I'm enamored with the characters, but they work. Max Fiumara's art is unique and well-done. I recall a static panel here and there, but it doesn't hurt the comic much. Perhaps, my indifference to dragons has kept me from going gaga over Four Eyes, but it deserves what it gets.

7.8* out of 10*

That's practically what you gave that Deadpool book the other day. You definitely are concussed.

This definitely doesn't deserve the 3.93 average. The comic didn't pretend to be anything other than what it was and I enjoyed it. Pearson's art is over-the-top, but I have no beef with it. Keep in mind that I read the HC collection and that I got it from the library. It's not worth the dough, but it's far from terrible.

7* out of 10*

I'm listening to Refused failing to redefine punk for the 21st century.

Also 4 Eyes #1 was definitely a 9/10

It's a noticeable difference in quality. In college terms, a 7 would be a C while 7.8 would be a high C or a C+. I'd be interested to hear why Four Eyes is deserving of a 9.

A C is a C and Deadpool was an F and Four Eyes was an A.

If the fucknuts in charge of NuRama ever get their forums back up, I'm archiving all of our old threads.

Four Eyes had gorgeous art, a brilliant setting and a really interesting premise. Deadpool was a sack of shite.

I won't knock Fiumara's art. He's not a favorite of mine, but the man has talent.

I admit that the setting is interesting. Not my cup of tea, but interesting.

I'll admit that my indifference to dragons affected my score. They don't a damn thing for me.

They're not something that would draw me into a story, but that last spread of the two dragons in the arena is exactly what a spread should do. It's got spectacle, it's got a huge reveal and it's all lit up like Christmas on fire. Between that and How to Train... I think Dragons are the new pirates. Or should be.

Kelly's Ben 10 money could afford him some more time to work on it, no?
