They just don't need to automatically generate a thread. Forcing everything to automatically generate a thread just so that trolls can't come along and trigger them later wasn't a good solution, IMO.

It was decent, it was more Doctor Spectrum than Supreme Power really, and it was hardly MAX at all, but it was better than JMS' Squadron Supreme, better than Ultimate Power, and better than Chaykin's run. I liked it enough to continue, and it reminded me of why I loved the series when it first came out.

John Snow wrote:For serious though, the OH isn't really supportive of positive comic talk. The News Stand's current motto seems to be 'bash or be bashed'. Nobody likes anything here anymore. Not that I'm not part of that too because I so am, but when I do read something that I really like it seems pointless to post about it. (i.e. Gillen's Journey Into Mystery)

I like lots of comics, however, there is no need to talk about it here. all you get is you're crazy and whatever writer/editor raped my mom/childhood by writing xyz book.

Although JMS sucks for never finishing The Twelve and should be hung (but I will still try whatever he writes, dammit, I feel like a battered woman still in love with the bastard that hits me)

Hurm. I might have to try it. Like you, I'm one of the 3 people who lasted through Chaykin's run.

Not even American Vampire or Unwritten?

I need to read Morning Glories #10 and do a thread for that. I may wait until tomorrow, I don't want to read an issue of MG whilst tired.

I read one of your posts there once and got spoiled. Go die.

Also, segregating all the single issues discussion into one thread was stupid. I used to be able to search for threads about issues I read and wanted to talk about, now I would have to sort through that thread if I wanted to see what other people thought of a specific issue. What I'm saying basically is that 4thy should go die too. I hate that thread.

Fuck you, I hate you, you bastard!

Part of the issue is that most of us regulars don't really make threads to talk about specific issues. It's a shame that such a large percentage of our News Stand single issue threads are Herald or Zechs bitching about the lack of Cassie Cain in the DCU.
