I was alluding to Avatar not having a digital method of distribution in place. I've never used the online shop Avatar links for purchases if that's what you're worried about.

I just tried to order it and it turns out the site that Avatar Press uses only ships the physical copy. I suspected this but was kind of hoping it wasn't. With shipping included I'm looking at $15.99 in American dollars. That's too much for one comic, so I guess I'm out for this one.

If there is one lesson to lean from DAN is that we need to be selective how obscure we go in terms of title / publisher. While I know I'll get Dan eventually it looks like a lot of people may be running into the same problem retailers did not order the book. On the other hand when it becomes a hit it should be worth something.

I saw this book at three shops I went to this week.

It wasn't covering the same Marvel & DC projects that got The Outhouse mentioned in the Huffington Press, it was an interview (that probably wouldn't have even happened without the Review Group) with an independent comics creator that everyone else wasn't already writing about.

Setting bullshit stipulations about perceived "accessibility" is weak.

No. Stephen Day has a notoriously shitty LCS, him not being able to find a non-Marvel/DC title there is the norm.

Avatar isn't that small a publisher, any halfway decent LCS should have had this.

Just read this. It's not Stray Bullets or Young Liars good, but it's the best thing I can think of that Lapham's done outside of those books.
