i never actually paid attention to the names on the articles until a few people here pointed out what a dick he was. thought he was just an asshole blogger who failed as a comic book writer (Watchmench...what editor greenlit that bullshit), but over the new year he successfully trolled the lowest possible lows.

I think having his own site made things so much worse. When he just had a column (on CBR right?), a rumor monger could just preview what the hype machine had in store for a few months late (Bendis launching a second Avengers title with Frank Cho! Morrison working on Batman with Kubert!). It is largely benign and kinda fun for fans who want to see what's ahead. When he has to fill blog space every day in order to keep up page views, it makes one more desperate.

I guess. It stands to reason, but I honestly don't remember what the column version was like. Maybe it was just as bad.

I used to read Lying in the Gutters. I was mildly entertained by it at times. It was basically a gossip blog. Rumors and news facets had lights, green signifying that it was pretty much a go, yellow being a bit cautionary and red was just pure speculation. It was like reading an Entertainment News column on comic books.

Since the generator got some media attention, I think it's time to add some new colors/rumors. Something like:

Gray - Gail Simone
Fuchsia - Greg Land
Turquoise - John Byrne
Indigo - Joss Whedon
Crimson - Scott Snyder
Maize - Robert Downey Jr.
Carolina Blue - Thanoscopter
Image

"I have my heroes, but no one knows their names"
- Sons of the Desert

So does Marvel, in it's past. Or more precisely, both have had parent publishers that also published porn at one point or another. This is a fact.

Yep. They also both had ties, early on, to organized crime figures. DC especially had strong ties, through Harry Donnenfeld.

It's accurate. I've noticed how sweaty you look when you come out of the cosplay thread.
