RIP Al Rio

RIP Al RioThe Brazilian "good girl artist" known for his work on Gen 13, New Mutants Forever and covers for the Grimm Fairy Tales franchise has passed away at the age of 49.


Rio died from an apparent suicide, this morning. There was no suicide note left behind.

During his time in the comics industry, his work appeared in such comics as Gen 13, New Mutants Forever, Purgatori and Exposure. Rio was working on 3 projects before his death: Al Rio's How to Draw Girls, The Sexy Art of Al Rio and Fever Moon. He leaves behind a wife and three children.
