Seriously, the dude is like poison. I would love to talk about DC, but the trolls are way too much these days.

We could probably create a thread for "positive" DC talk and threadkick various posters who try to suck the life out of it, if interested.

Seriously. I even catch myself debating on whether I should post certain DC previews or articles because I know the shit-storm of negative comments that will ensue from the regular haters. Eventually I figured out that folks weren't attacking me personally.

Well, except for Zechs, fieldy smuts and draco x :P

On the other hand I know folks like amoebas, chesscub, Lord Ice, DrCharles, dairydead, oogy and others will be positive or at least objective :smt023

We could try the "positive" thread. They do that on other sites although sometimes then the Negative Squad posts saying that they are being denied their "right to free speech"

Ok here's what I'm enjoying right now

Justice League Dark (love how they brought in Black Orchid, hopefully they can redeem Dr. Mist)
Aquaman (The Others was a fantastic story. I want to see more of them)
Flash (I was weak on it at first but things have been clicking really well since 7)
Animal Man (only through 12 right now but enjoying it)
Legion of Super-Heroes (suck it Nacierman)
Superman (love Rocafort's artwork)
Wonder Woman (I would love to see Azzarello write a second DC book like Stormwatch)
Demon Knights
Sword of Sorcery
Dial H
Earth 2

I like the DC books I read monthly and trade wait
I just can't stand what DC threads become around here, there is no discussion just a bunch of bitching by people too set in their ways to STOP READING BOOKS THEY HATE and move on

hating on something is not the same as criticizing it, and DC threads turn in to 15 page hating sessions that bore me

So fuckin' true. I actually wouldn't mind it if the Herlads or Naciremen of the world were to actually stay on point or better yet, leave the thread alone, that would be fine. But no, they make the conscious choice to jump in and add nothing except their own inflated sense of self-importance or a deluded crusade to get Legion fans to be as miserable as they are.

The only censorship I approve of is self-censorship (like me choosing to put Nacireman on ignore - wow, board life is awesome without him (and from the quotes I see and PM's I've gotten, nothings changed so it continues to be a good move for me)). I'm mighty tempted to do the same to Herald, but occasionally he's actual for a good laugh (and not the laugh 'with' kind).

Maybe if more of us did 'ignore' it would be like Reed's plan to get rid of the Impossible Man in Fantastic Four #11...

I will say that I've flipped through a couple of the recent Batman trades (the Morrison and Tomasi/Gleason ones), and I've really enjoyed them. Snyder's current Joker story looks really interesting as well.

If there is a dc boom you like that i do not what happens is i do not stomp on your enjoyment and try to give constructive reasons why i did not like the book.

And that I respect because it lends itself to a constructive thread about honest opinions and good conversation.
Even most of Herald's replies I can deal with because has learned over the years to at least back up his replies with some kind of fact or opinion and not resort to personal attacks unless he feels he was attacked first.

You post too much Batgirl. It reminds me of the slight DC has done since starting this New 52 journey and the good stories and characters lost because of it.
