SDCC: Some LEGO News (Updated)

Exclusives and upcoming set announcements.

Source: fbtb.net Articles

Some San Diego Comic-Con 2013 LEGO news has been trickling out recently...

First up, as in with recent SDCCs, LEGO will be offering up some exclusive minifigs for the event. There is no detail on how to acquire these (protip: go to SDCC), but they've shown what you could possibly pick up. For you exclusives fans, alternate suit Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Green Arrow, and black suit Superman are all up for grabs:

Spider-Woman

Green Arrow

Black suit Superman

Sticking with comic-related tidbits, it was also revealed that a new DC Super Heroes set will be released next January: The Riddler Chase. Unsurprisingly, it will also feature Batman, but maybe more of a surprise will also include The Flash:

There will be a LEGO movie (creatively titled "The LEGO Movie") next February, so LEGO is taking the SDCC opportunity to announce merchandise for the upcoming feature film. They are promising some 17 sets with varied themes and minifigures.

The LEGO Movie preview set

More building sets will be up for preview at the convention, and other merchandise mentioned tying in to the movie include video games, apparel, and school supplies.

Finally on display at SDCC will be large models of Iron Man and Superman made out of LEGO.

UPDATE: A few more items have been announced at SDCC

• Two more LEGO Minecraft sets have been announced, The Village and The Nether.

Same hair mold they used for Black Widow and Poison Ivy and a few others but different color.
