Okay, now that Secret Invasion is in full swing, I'm seeing a lot of unintentional tie-ins in my trips to the back issue bins.

Wizard has already mentioned possible tie-ins such as X-Men #89. That's where skrulls are found pretending to be 70's type heroes (i.e. Captain Marvel, Thunderbird) in order to better understand them.

And Uncanny X-Men #375. Where Professor X dissected a skrull Wolverine.

Now I find Uncanny X-Men #276. Professor X is substituted by a skrull in a plot to take over the Shiar empire. You can see the skrull using a machine to take on Xavier's form as well as powers.

I just like noticing little discoveries like that. If I come across any more, I'll be sure to post them.

Is anyone else just a tad disappoint to find out this thread isn't about some form of secret decoder timepiece? ;)

They'll put it in the Skrull cereal they're going to release.

Oh, and in Uncanny #277, skrulls replace the Starjammers. I think that and #276 will be of interest because of the machine they used to assume powers and forms. It could be the answer to how they currently can stay undetected. Hmmm....

It's so bad though. I blame Mark Millar.
