A & D) -- speaking in terms of pushing the medium, is out in front of the digital movement with his Thrillbent stuff.
B) has handled numerous creators as an EiC before, at BOOM for 3 years.
C) has written everything from Archie to Kingdom Come (one of the highest-selling comics of all time), including high-selling and award-winning runs on Capt. America, FF, Flash, JLA, Daredevil, 52, etc.
D) going to BOOM was quite a risk. Thrillbent is quite a risk
plus the EiC experience factor. any other citeria you want to make up that practically no one currently in comics EXCEPT Waid can meet?

that actually falls under B) "creator-friendly". it also falls under E) "poor life choices".

Marvel didn't make those guys quit, they are still on good terms.
I'm surprised he forgot to mention Rucka, if he's trying to make an argument about Marvel alienating creatives

With Diggle, I can see what happened was he clashed with Tony Daniel, over what he wanted/what Daniel wanted to draw, and editorial sided with Daniel. Frankly, I never understood him on Action in the first place, given that he's said he hates superheros, and wrote the worst Daredevil in living memory.

Mark Waid is currently undergoing a critical renaissance as writer of Daredevil and Hulk, he'd be mad to go back to DC right now, he's now 'cool' for the first time in forever.

You have a vivid imagination. Current DC editorial micromanages every step of the process. They don't usually give the writers/artists enough autonomy to clash with each other.

Yeah, some of the best superhero comics have been written by writers who claim to hate them!

I only read Diggle's first Daredevil arc. I wasn't too impressed with it, but he's great writing other stuff, like Snapshot.

he also wrote possibly the best Adam Strange in living memory, so...

your definition of "forever" is pretty narrow.
