Sony Registers Domains for 'The Last of Us' Movie

This might mean Sony is planning for a movie and it definitely means we all hope they are.

Source: IGN

One of Playstation 3's best games, The Last of Us was released earlier this year to critical and fan acclaim.  An original title and story that sold millions of copies in a genre that's as popular in movies as it is in games: survival horror.

In a move that shouldn't surprise anyone, Sony made the first moves in bringing The Last of Us to the big screen - securing domains.  Both TheLastOfUs-Movie.com and TheLastOfUsMovie.net were both registered on November 25 by Sony's online brand protection agency MarkMonitor.

Of course, this means very little in the big picture as Sony could simply be protecting the brand.  Though, out of the various stories we see in video games, The Last of Us not only stands strong quality wise, but would not be a difficult one to bring to the theater.

We'll definitely be keeping an eye on this, so stay tuned.
