So yeah he's bringing back the old Authority and dumping the entire cast/previous establishment of the New 52.

So... the first cracks in the New 52 universe and the return of the old?

This "Look at how radically we changed things!" tactic always ends up losing its novelty value. There's a reason why Elseworlds stories never became ongoing series.

Hold on, has it been confirmed that he is actually bringing back the old Authority and not just creating a DCnU version? If that's the case, I may actually start picking this series up again.

Old is back? As long as they keep WW the same, I really couldn't give a shit.
DC pre and post Nu52 is bad. Going back to the old universe will still suck as long as Lobdell is writing half the books and Harris plummets the DC value.

I think the WTF is more for Jim Starlin being given a book.
How many pages until some intergalactic church becomes the new villain?
And the Weird? Awful character but I guess proof that the assumption it's the old DCU is coming back is wrong because iirc the Weird blowed up real good in that universe.

I'd feel better if it was Starlin on Threshold instead of Giffen. He could just go wild and do his own thing that doesn't depend on dealing with anything else at DC. And nowadays, Starlin is more trustworthy with his own creations instead of other people's.

After what he did to the New Gods I wish he'd only use his own creations.

Lots of assumption going on here. Good to know some things (and fans) never change.

So that wasn't an assumption. It's a fact.

He was forced to write that. There was nothing he could really do to save that event.

Forced? Did DC hold his family hostage?
And even if he was 'forced' he still could have told a good story.
