Issue 10 was good. I liked the Deodato art. He did a good job on capturing how boring Saskatchewan is :P Good story that's one and done but still builds the overarching plot. Thought it was interesting to see how the Origin bombs are working and how they're changing the world. I also like the little dudes spawning from them.

The Wolverine costume looked fucking cool! I hope we see it at some point (geek pause).

I am a little impatient to see what exactly is going on and I was surprised that Hulk/Banner didn't have much of a voice in this issue. Same with Smasher. It was pretty neat seeing Eden and Smasher shushed by the older heroes.

The Omega Flight people were kind of useless. Wtf was "Kingdom" supposed to be?

As for New Avengers 5, it was nice to see Black Swan's origin but again, absolutely nothing happened in regards to moving things forward. Looking forward to the next issue and I wonder if DOOM will play any part in future issues.

I have been LOVING New Avengers, but #5 today was just a chore to get through. Hickman got WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too over-indulgent with the exposition and pseudoscience-babble. needed a lot more Illuminati vs. Terrax/Galaktus and a lot less sitting around talking to Black Swan.

I felt both issues were more set-up issues, honestly.

If there are infinite parallel universes, wouldn't the incursions just keep happening without any end?

I like how Hickman turned a "Moment of the Week" type fight scene in #4 into something resolved in a flashback in #5.

It takes real skill to do that, folks

Depends on the nature of the Marvel Universe.

I assume that the fact that the Multiverse is "broken" could be a factor as well.

I think the Illuminati broke the Multiverse and the Avengers World are having to deal with the consequences.

That would be a very logical assumption.

P. Mansbrizzle (Peter Mansbridge) just shouted out Avengers 10 on the Natty (The National) just now because it takes place in Regina. G shit. He talked about the (broad) events of the issue and mentioned that it was the choice of the writer to use Regina but didn't say the writer's name.

inorite! Another white character wearing black and claiming African descent. Looks like Jude is having a larger impact on the comics sphere than even he realizes.

I want to make a joke about giant spheres and gravity but I don't want to make a fat joke.

...

I give up.

The story features a shadowy figure instructing an assassin to go find something. The shadowy figure then travels to a planet he's visited before and kills its champion before collecting a payment from them. This payment is a box o' heads and he gives it to his master Thanos. The assassin is then shown on Earth looking for something and hiding behind some Avengers, some X-Men, and SHIELD.

It's a well written comic, and obviously gorgeous to look at but it's got the Hickman thing where it provides only mysteries with no real clues as to what is going on. I enjoyed it, but it's a weird choice for an FCBD issue.

I agree. A kick-butt Avengers or Iron Man story (since IM3 is out this weekend) would have been better for FCBD than Infinity.
