I was at a job where I worked with all black people. They used to call me "The Ghost" because I was white. I didn't care and wore it with pride, but I could use that as a reverse example.

The only part about his family that matters is if his daughter is collateral damage. If none of this is real and yet her father will be known as a perv.

I don't think anyone thinks he's a perv, a womanizer maybe. Maybe, it will be a wake up for him and he can use it to have a conversation with her. It's not necessarily the mistakes you make that define you. Sometimes it is how you deal with those mistakes.

Is that seriously the argument that you want to go with? You don't want to just acknowledge that institutionalized sexism is vastly imbalanced against women in general, and that maybe there are some exceptions here and there?

you said there are absolutely no exceptions for men where it comes close.

I think you're right that men don't have to deal with the harassment that a women faces, but their are professions where it is difficult for a man to succeed, so you're absolute statement is false.

You even acknowledge that by pointing out exceptions.

I'm not trying to justify anything, just pointing out that your usual hyperbole is wrong as usual.

Not on the internet.

I know a doctor who is a great doctor. Won a lot of awards. When you Google his name the first things that come up is a malpractice case. Negative always stats online.

BC have finally posted a story about the past few days:

http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/11/16/ ... ial-media/

Including this:
Photographer Anne Scherbina;

@TessFowler I am no longer in comics, but when I was, I had a creepy thing happen with him, that he later spun to others as being my idea.

Although creepy doesn't automatically mean harassment, people have been making an issue of Fowler's unnamed sources in her "inbox". There's one confirmed at least.

Personally, I am a big fan of Wood's earlier work, particularly Demo and Local, and this story (if true) is disappointing to hear.

I'm currently reading Conan, X-Men, and The Massive. I had no qualms with Wood prior to this story. I like him.

I am in the exact same boat. I met him at heroescon some years back and he was a nice guy.

I never cared for his work.

I think Fowler brings up an issue that's a problem. She tells men in comics to speak up, but how can they if they don't know what happened? This happened 8 years ago. Her friends didn't say anything and she didn't either. So how can the "good ones" speak up if they don't know?

It's up to the women in these stories to speak up. It's a "help me help you scenario."

It's up to women to speak up, but when they do, they get attacked as liars and crazy, as in this thread (not by you).

her initial tweets were okay and the final story. The rant in the middle is all kinds of confusing and disjointed. It was not the best way to broach the subject. I stand by my statement.

I don't think there would be as much vitriol as that in cases like this.

If there were 3 other cases like she said, I think people would believe them. Like I think it's counterproductive that that one woman calls him "creepy" but then doesn't expand on the story.
