anybody? Comic book called the boys by Garth Ennis and Russ Braun...who has done an amazing job and left just a little to be missed from Darick Robertson who I would have hoped would have been back for the final story line.

But you seem to have a problem with that :smt102

I've read a chunk of issues, but it was never really my thing and I dropped it. Russ Braun is a good artist, though. :)

I'm not a fan of this series, or Ennis much anymore.

I bought and read the first four issues off the shelf and returned them for credit a week later.

Robertson is doing the final issue.

If anyone's curious about what I think (I've bought it since the first issue, carried over when they were fired from DC, and supported it at Dynamite ever since) - my longstanding theroy is that the final arc is a conflict between Hughie and Butcher, which has been coming, and Annie joins The Boys.

I really can't see it anymore. Butcher's done with supes he's going to stop the V facotry/trade in Russia and Annie is out the picture...maybe she bangs butcher? There is no more conflict with Hughie and Butcher unless something new happens. I can't even see Hughie being pissed about kicking a trains head off.

I also don't see a conflict happening between Hughie and Butcher either. If anything, based on the solicits mentioning a promotion that no one likes, I could see Butcher naming Hughie leader of The Boys.

40 issues ago absolutely the book was going to end with this fight and annie as a dead corpse beneath them....Maybe Annie is the promotion?

That would be from left field but with this book, nothing would surprise me. I used to think the end of the series would be all doom and gloom but I'm starting to think it might not end that way.

there will be some doom Ennis isn't fully ready to embrace his new kids book future. I don't think however it will be nearly as brutal as the previous arc.
