This is so interesting. There have been some successes under didio but that seems to be in spite of him, not because. And he's left a legacy of hiccups that have now painted him into a corner. What else can he do to spike sales when you've raped, killed and changed all your characters?

I feel a lot of the stuff that's been done in concert with Geoff Johns (Teen Titans, Green Lantern, etc.) can be to his credit. People in this thread seem to hate most of those things even though they were pretty successful.

He undermines his own successes. 52 was a wonderful production, but when he says things like Countdown was "52 done right," then he proves that it was great despite him.

Didio as a creator s fairly awful, at least when it comes to writing comics

I admit, for myself, it's more a case of not what he's done wrong, but what has he done that I'm kinda okay with. It's the path of least resistance aka the easy thing to note.

But without it there wouldn't be a Didio Era at DC. And it has all the elements what make people loathe Didio's run.
