Mine too. I'm not sure I ever got what he tried to do with them at the end. Possibly make us hate Geo-Force? If so, mission accomplished.

I think people hated Freight Train even more ironically.

Agreed. The only thing that made me get interested in that dreck Didio wrote was the fact that they brought back the Eradicator( Who was my favorite Outsiders member by the way). However, apparently it wasn't even the real Eradicator but a clone that showed up out nowhere with no explanation given. And like I said, what Didio did to Geo Force and his wife was the worst of Didio's run-Plus the introduction of Freight Train was a dud all over. I really wish he would gotten the clue that he can't write for shit from the get-go.

I'm still convinced that the whole JMS on Superman run (or walk :groucho: ) was planned at the very last minute (sometime between early December 2009 - early February 2010) and torpedoed the original plans for Didio's Outsiders, Robinson's Justice League of America, and the duration of the New Krypton/Zod storyline.

1. Why did Geoff Johns do a Superman Secret Origins mini-series ... if he was never going to return to the Superman line after it was over? I'm pretty sure the delay on the final issue was due to his re-writing it issue to remove any danglers that would have been addressed later.

2. Why did DC do War of the Superman FCBD issue ... if they were going to do the whole series in a month? The original announcement doesn't mention that stunt and mentions that it would involve tie-ins with the other Superman family titles.

3. James Robinson's plans for Justice League involved Mon-El in a starring role:

4. Eradicator was part of Didio's plan to tie the Outsiders to tie into the New Krypton Superman stories. Eradicator got short shrift once that wrapped up quicker than planned.

Poor Superman. DC just never runs out of ways to mess his franchise up. I mean how many times do they have to keep tampering with Supes and co? I was aware of the reason why Didio put the Eradicator in Outsiders to tie with the New Krypton saga but as I said, the whole execution was sloppy. I mean first off, they didn't even bother explaining why there is now a new Eradicator and what happened to the original one who last left in a coma at Steelworks from what I remember. Plus, how exactly did the new Eradicator get created by the way? I would assume that someone from New Krypton had taken the body of the original Eradicator from Steelworks at some point and then cloned him, but then this was never shown or explained. Plus, it was indicated that he had some kind of agenda in Markovia that was never touched upon before he got kidnapped by the Doomsday clone. The biggest gripe however was why the hell would Geo Force just enter into a pact with New Krypton just to alienate his own allies and country? The way Didio wrote that made no sense whatsoever. The only reason why I stomached Didio's run was because the Eradicator is one of my favorite characters but even that wasn't enough to stop the book from doing a nosedive writing-wise.
