Neither will keeping the same numbers, but you came in and complained!

VS walked out on the group on a week when we were doing a DC #1 and he was buying every one of those. He doesn't deserve to be remembered!

Didn't want to get creases in his goldmine #1 issues. Totally justifiable reason to bail, IMO.

I can't wait until digital makes speculating obsolete.

Or will you try and sell on downloads because they have specific binary codes?

No, but I'm sure Squid is doing nicely on those comics with the digital codes that Marvel has started bagging.

No one forces those fanmen to buy comics at a premium on the eBays.

Just because I don't know how to spell the language of some tiny African nation doesn't mean that I'm wrong in thinking that your attitude towards women is 100% wrong. Obviously, you're some skinny, single nerd living on the East Coast who probably derives value in life from wrestling matches, hoping that Wolverine gets to sleep with teenagers and engaging in casual drug use. You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.

Avengers #19

From the striking cover to the good story within, Avengers #19 is an instant almost classic.

I love the dynamics between Captain America and Hawkeye (and it was swell to see Hawkeye's origin). Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were neato and the Swordsman seems like a groovy foe. I hope Cap doesn't die from that fall in the cliffhanger ending.

Stan Lee's writing was very Stan Leeish and and Don Heck's art was okay (boy do I miss Kirby).

The biggest complaint is that there were some goons smoking in this story. That's a no-no I thought.

Story - 4
Art - 5
Overall - 4.5

Avengers #19

Back when I first got into comics and started reading the Avengers, one of my favorite things to do was to search through the back issue bins for the issues where they assembled the new lineups. Those issues had the best covers and always delivered the fun. While the cover on this issue didn't live up to that legacy, on a purely nostalgic level the comic itself was pretty fun. It almost makes me want to read the series again, but I've learned my lesson with Bendavengers. It's okay to visit every once in a while, but it gets boring when you go back month after month after month. While the scene with Daisy and John Walker was cool and the moment between Hawkeye and Spider-Woman's giant hair was kind of nice, the return of the Vision felt bizarrely nonchalant. If this really is the return of the original Vision the moment is not at all earned, if it's some swerve for something else then I guess that will play out over time.

Before today I would have said offhand that Daniel Acuna sucks and his coloring was the worst. Low and behold, someone finally taught that man how to color and underneath all that shiny plastic fugliness he can actually draw! I liked the art a lot and had convinced myself that there was some mix up in production and the name on the cover was wrong.

Story: 7
Art: 8
Overall: 7.5

What's the fucking deal with the low page count and previews for shitty Disney/licensed comics in the back of this? I thought I was only halfway through this when I got to the last page. :smt013

$4 comics really is the assrape of the 21st century.
