Title: Much Eviler Than GOSD!

Kind of a bitch finding a theme avatar that wasn't all gay Brad Pitt and all, and then editing it without fucking the image up, but there it is.

Kind of glad Power Girl didn't appear much in FC. I'd rather keep her out of the big events in general, less chance of getting messed over.

I know, but I like to do things myself. Problem being that I had limited tools. That, and Achilles just doesn't lend itself to a goo avatar like Cat-Scratch does. As for a sig, that will have to wait for another day until I can think of something cool in comic book terms.

Be like most, make it about a character or title you like or something else.

Just no naked boobs...

Title: Much Eviler Than GOSD!

Postby achilles » Wed Feb 18, 2009 8:33 pm

Good week for PG. Apart from her series being solicited, and the AH! alternate cover being shown, (one of the best covers he's ever done!), she had a great showing in the Tangent finale, beating the tar out of Tangent PG, who had earlier in the series knocked a mixed group of DCU and Tangent heroes around like they were nothing. Strange that she cared so much about Tangent Batman though...

And over in JLA, Superman got a Silver Age upgrade---overtly this time. Leaving the door open for the writers of the other two Kryptonians to do the same.

Jimmy Palmiotti in his blog on the Rama asks if fans would like a "day in the life" issue, where Kara does no punching at all, but only normal stuff. You can comment on this and let him know how you feel at the Rama---yes, I know it is hostile territory for some, but there it is.

Some more about the Power Girl series from the Rama, (it's up again).

From the Megacon DC Nation panel:

DD – Ambush Bug actually started in continuity in the Superman books. And while we agree about G’nort, he is going to remain the same tone as the story. It’s a different thing from showing some humor in facing tragedy. If a character cracks a joke, they deal with the situation that way – such as talking about baseball at the end of the world – it shows that these characters under pressure can talk about baseball. But the trip and fall type of humor belittles the character.

JP – Like in Terra – we did the shopping scenes.

DD – And like in the new Power Girl book (at which, the audience clapped loudly) there is some humor, but it’s not a comedy book.

JP – It’s not like she trips over her boobs or anything.
