The CG is nice. The Night Viper looks more like the DTC one from a few years back. It's ok. It's going to take a lot more to outdo the last Beachhead that came out in the POC line.

The reduced articulation on the movie line figures is a bad sign. The vehicle drivers have 5 POA. GIJoe figures have never been reduced to Corps level of suckage.

The packaging even looks cheap.

The worst part about it is how Flint and Roadblock become Ninja-Lites. Apparently this is what happens in the movie as well and is why The Rock is sporting a sword and Arashikage tattoo on both the packaging and the later waves of figures.

I thought the explanation from Hasbro about the Joes with more ninja training get more articulation is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard in this brand. The first Rock has limited articulation because he hasn't been trained by Snake Eyes yet... the later wave has more articulation because he's a ninja-lite now... wtf???

Lady Jaye is a NYCC exclusive and not even in the main line? Edit... its supposed to be Wave 3. Club site was wrong, as par for the course with that operation.

I'll gladly buy Bruce Willis and the later wave Rock as long as the tattoo isn't permanent on the arm. Maybe switch out my old CG's for these new ones. I'll try to get the SDCC Jinx, but the rest is pretty undesirable.

Hope the Con set having the Oktober Guard turns out to be true.

We're still a long time away. But... would you have cheap packaging for good figures? The Night Viper, Crimson Guard, and movie Cobra Trooper look awesome. Red and Dragon Ninjas look great too but then they're just reusing the Renegade Storm Shadow mold. :P Duke's gun is Terry Crews' magic exploding shogun so I have to get that for my Roadblock.

Trust me in that Joes weren't the worst toyline of the con. That belongs to Spider-Man who have mid 90s Power of the Force level articulation and Masters of the Universe which spotlighted a dude with neon swords and costume but has a horrible prototype paint job. The best news was a random Snake Men two pack. RANDOM SNAKE MEN!!!

Just don't give it to Hawk... you never know what he would do with it.

Actually you do.

So don't.

Bridge Direct Gets Master Toy for Looney Tunes

Warner Bros. Consumer Products has announced that global children’s consumer products company The Bridge Direct, Inc. is now master toy licensee for the beloved Looney Tunes property and its latest television series incarnation, The Looney Tunes Show.

Under the agreement The Bridge Direct will develop a comprehensive product line based on the iconic characters Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester, Tweety, Taz, Road Runner and more. The line will include plush, figures, playsets, vehicles and role-play items and is set to debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York this month and hit retailers in fall 2012.

Just got my First Edition Optimus Prime today. He's Super's wet dream made reality. He's quite frankly one of the best Optimus Prime's I've ever seen. He beats the living shit out of the old Classics mold. Why the hell is Hasbro not selling more of these type of figures?! This is a gold mine for Transformers collectors. The powerizers Optimus (pretty much same mold different cheaper paint apps) is horrific. When I first saw that figure I really was starting to doubt this purchase.

But seeing First Edition Prime in hand.. holy hell is he a sweet figure.
