Hawkman is pretty twisted up. Having Carter Hall be a reincarnated Thanagarian cop along with the Khufu bit and it could work better. Otherwise, the alien cop stranded on Earth works more today then not for me. The name thing... Carter Hall, Katar Hol... plus Shiera, Shyera... headache.

Hawkman would have a shot if they had tapped a truly great writer, but with Daniel I fear it will flounder.

The one that most upsets me is Suicide Squad: terrible redesigns (I mean: Harley's current costume is a classic) and an unknown quantity writing. Did DC lose John Ostrander's number or something?

Carter Hall, archaeologist could work if they shitcan ALL Hawkman continuity, and never have him wear that stupid costume.

Otherwise, I think Katar Hol the militant Thanagarian space cop works for Hawkman if he's wearing a bird helment and big wings.

Captain Atom should have been by Winnick, as he's one of the only writers ever to make me enjoy that character. He also should be writing JLI, but I'll get it even by Jurgens.

Mr Terrific would be a great book by someone like Trautman, but by Wallace it will fail miserably.

I agree with Nieto about Suicide Squad. Stupid redesigns and not a top writer. Should have been Gail or Ostrander and no ugly design choices.

Hawkman's issue isn't about the story they are going with, it's with the ugly Image in the 90's redesign and the shitty writer.

The fifth book I'd go with was Hawk and Dove, which has absolutely no hope of doing more than 3 issues with Liefeld.

I don't know, I think having him find this ancient gear and it sort of 'call to him' could be cool

Batgirl is dead on arrival too. Instead of one fanbase pissed off, DC has pissed off three. No matter what Gail does or says the book is gonna die with Barbara Gordon as Batgirl. The only way it'll work if she twists it into a Batgirl team book. Only way to please the fanbases.

Disagree. I think people will read it for Gail and to see how she pulls it off. Whether they stay or not is up to how good the first arc is.

Anyway, my list of five is:

Suicide Squad
Captain Atom
Blackhawks
Hawkman
Mister Terrific.

Sad, really because with better creative teams I would probably be picking up four of those books (not Blackhawks), but as it is I'm not getting any of them.

The only way it'll work is if she twists it into a Flash team book, featuring Jay, Barry, Wally and Bart all as Flashes while simultaneously printing winning lottery numbers from the future in the margins of their books. Only way to please the increasingly demanding and whiny fanbases.

No matter what Michael Green does or say, the book is gonna die with a teenage, leggings wearing Kara as Supergirl. The only way it'll work is if he twists it into a Supergirl team book with Power Girl, Kara, Linda Danvers and that blackhaired Supergirl that no one gave a shit about back in the early 2000's all as Supergirl. Only way to please the fanbases.

The only way it'll work is if he twists into a Legion...Legion book with the classic Legion, second reboot, Threeboot AND a new teenaged legion to appease Nacireman. Only way to please the fanbases....and Nacireman.
