Apparently the Waid/Samnee run is coming to an end.

Daredevil #36, due out February 2013, is the final issue of the series, Chris Samnee confirmed on twitter with a post that includes the cover to the issue. There was some speculation about the series' fate due to an answer in the letter column of today'sDaredevil #32.

A little more infoHERE.

Or is it going to be relaunched? Guess we'll see...

If this is REALLY Waid leaving DD... I'm pretty sad. This has been a great series. :(

I really hope it's just a relaunch. Diggle's run was short as hell but I want Waid to get as much time as Bendis/Brubaker and Miller all got.

No I know, but he was technically the DD writer before Waid and I was trying to compare the last few writers and the lengths of their runs. :smt102

There's already an oversized HC out collecting vol. 1-2.

I expect a second oversized HC soon-ish.

Update
UPDATE 10/23/2013 4:12 PM PT: In an interview published earlier this week by Newsarama, "Daredevil" writer Mark Waid said the following about the book's long-term prospects, with the character's 50th anniversary looming in 2014: "They're...interesting. And quite unexpected and quite familiar at the same time. They may or may not involve a drastic shift in Matt Murdock's career and lifestyle. But we do know this one thing for sure: the Waid/Samnee/Rodriguez/Caramagna team isn't going anywhere, and we're striving for new heights!"

Man, these guys reboot series more often than a Windows 3.1 computer. (Who is old enough to get that joke?)

This is like the Kelly Sue/Captain Marvel thing. I mean, what is the need to end a series and re-start it when the SAME creative team is staying on it and, presumably, the overall continuity is not being re-started or changed in a major way? "Oh we're going to send Captain Marvel into space now," is a good reason to start a new story arc, but not a new SERIES. I mean come on. They are just milking the #1s now.

At what point are the customers going to wake up, realize this is a scam, and stop rewarding it? Or has that ship sailed long ago? Have Marvel and DC already weeded out the 80% of former comic collectors who detest this kind of gimmick, causing most of them to stop buying comics or move on to indies? Are the only collectors left the people who fall for this shit?

I don't think scam is the right word for it as we are getting a product that no one is cheating us on, and in the case of Waid/Samnee, a quality one at that.

Taking AT's quote into consideration, I wonder if this means that Waid's staying on but the book is getting (yet another) new #1?
