Wrong Blob, I think.

Probably AoA Blob, as the nemesis to AoA Nightcrawler, which he mentions this issue by remembering his having eaten Kurt's wife alive.

Overall I think the new BoEM plays individuals on each side against each other, Shadow King for Psylocke, Sabretooth for Wolverine, Skinlessman for Fantomex...and uh, Mystique. Maybe it'll turn out she and Deadpool go way back.

Shape-changing is all too useful a plot device?

Do you mean token female, because she can't be a token evil mutant in a team that's all evil mutants.

We can only hope the Phoenix will restore the balance of slutty mutant chicks in the 616 again!

Ah okay. Still somewhat behind so didn't know it was AoA stuff.

I mean, whenever a evil mutant team is created you are pretty much guaranteed to see Mystique in the lineup. They save a slot for her..

This particular line up is based on revenge, all of them fit, save for mystique.

Doesn't she have a couple of reasons for seeking revenge on Wolverine?

I don't think any X-character has had such a revolving door of loyalties as Mystique throughout her existence.

It's tough to keep track of her allegiances and whether she's an out right villain, or in one of her anti-hero phases, unless you're reading all the books. :D

5 out of 10 from Newsarama

Still, the only reason torture works in these kind of books is if we like the characters. Just because Wolverine is awesome in Wolverine and the X-Men doesn't mean we can keep watching him get cancer-fied every six months without some sort of comeuppance. This kind of win record makes me think of Justice League International, only with better art. The Uncanny X-Force need some swagger in their step, stat.

Ridiculous score. And calling it a "torture work"?

I believe the best shots reviews also give consistently high marks to the entire GL line which somehow manages to contain higher levels of gore than UXF. At least in X-Force the violence fits the tome.

This must be a joke. This is X-Force getting its swagger back after the Otherworld misstep.
