I just picked this up today.

And you know.. I know the scenarios are different, but it feels to me like it's somewhat similar in style to what the Spidey braintrust attempted to do with Brand New Day.

The only difference is..

Brubaker and Fraction actually succeeded!

I've gotta say.. I loved #500!

Great issue. I wish Dodson was the sole artist, but it was still good.

p.s. I actually like the BND comics. They're fun.

No they didn't.. well maybe due to Land and Magneto felt off compared to what Carey did with him. Plus I thought the reason they left the manison and recruiting people was for the big old bullseye it put on em. So they do it again? Great way to know where the hate groups will be targeting now.

So I say FAIL!! Like in BND Failure.. God why does Brubaker suck at writing mutants? He's pulling miracles with Cap and Iron Fist but here.. I get nothing.

i liked it. the line of the story intrigues me. and if there's one thing that has a chance @ undoing what the scarlet witch did then they definitely addressed it. nice to see that events in eternals are getting referenced in other titles too.

only thing is that magneto's character is way different from his appearance in legacy though given how he has renewed hope i dont really see it all that strange that he's back to his old self.

I thought it was decent.

I like the direction the book is going.

But Magneto just didn't seem right.

I loved most of the issue, especially the Dodson pages, like GLX I wish he were the only artist on the book. I am excited about reading the X-Men again so I guess thats what they were hoping for with this issue.

Magneto has been written so many different ways that he's always going to feel 'wrong' to somebody. I haven't read this yet so I can't comment on this particular incarnation, but at this point I'm not sure that there is a definitive portrayal of the character.

Thought the issue was good and felt like it established a nice new direction. There weren't any memorable moments but Bru and Fract seem to be building towards something bigger down the line which has promise.
