An Update on the Robert Washington Funeral Campaign

Postby LOLtron » Tue Jun 19, 2012 2:42 pm

A few things to note about the efforts to properly bury one of the industry's own.

The Outhouse reported last week about the Hero's Initiative's effort to secure a proper burial for Robert Washington III, as he was at risk of being given a pauper's burial in an unmarked grave.

Today, the Outhouse received word that the New York Chief Medical Examiner's Office has placed Mr. Washington's body on hold in order to give the campaign more time to raise money to give the comic creator a proper funeral.

If you would like to contribute to the cause, go to theHero's Initiative.  When donating, be sure to note that you'd like your donation to go towards Robert Washington III.

i know that this is callous
but I do not care

sucks that the dude died, sucks he died broke, but if I had disposable income to give to charity or whatnot, it would be on the living

IMO, YMMV

Then become a member of the Hero Initiative to help out creators in general. It's $29 for an entry level membership.
