We're thinking along the same lines in terms of speculations. Did anyone catch that weird bit about JMS's graphic novels being serialized in monthly format after the GN is published.

The bottom line is that if Vertigo is being gutted, it's our fault as fans and readers for not buying more Vertigo books. We get the comic books we deserve.

I figure they'll make up for it once all the Batmen of Every Nation start getting their own ongoings.

I personally can't wait for the Batman of Tanzania ongoing.

Anyway, trade-waiting might've finally killed a line of monthlies if that happens. And if more readers prefer the collected editions, I wonder if more money could be made releasing them exclusively or in that format first. Is what someone may be thinking, I'm thinking.

maybe.
I promote the stuff I like, you guys know this. Guess what? Sweet Tooth, Unwritten, Joe, Daytripper, all do really well in my shop. We keep all of the issues on hand and are frequently getting readers caught up.
How much do shops fail the readers?
Damn it. Now I am running to the writer's forum again, you bastards.
