all joking aside, the mawds take a harder look at stuff that has been reported. I do not remember it ever being the case that the person who was “attacked” had to be the one that was offended enough to report a post, nor do they actually have to care about the post in question.

I don’t think what avengingtitan wrote was report worthy, but bk did, and that is his prerogative. The mawds job is to look at what was said, past history, and other factors to see if action should be taken. IMO, no one was out of line – I disagree with the outcome, but I don’t think the process was flawed

IMO, the mawds here know us well enough to know we'd be kidding, or at least PM us to make sure
they might tell us to stop becuse of what we are doing, but I doubt we'd get "in trouble"
it seems that avengingtan had a history of acting like this to Nancierman (I know I spelled both wrong, don't care) and they are not cool with eachother as we are.

It depends. Has RU reported you multiple times in the past for making comments similar to the ones you have? Has RU also repeatedly told you publicly and privately to stop making those comments in the past? Have you been warned multiple times for making unsolicited attacks on RU and other posters?
