I thought American Vampire was good, but I couldn't help but feel like there was something missing. I wonder if Snyder removed some story elements in order to go from 22 pages to 16 and accomodate King's story. The story just felt a little disjointed at points. It wasn't anything major, really, just enough to nag at me a little bit. The art was good too, I really liked how Albuquerque and McCaig switched off their art styles for the two decades. Overall, I think it was a solid, entertaining book, just not the work of genius that a lot of people say that it is. I liked it enough to try the next volume.
