Wasn't blown away by it or anything. Glad they ended the fucking Century storyline though.

That's nearing the top of my 'to read' pile. Given the last volume, I am not looking forward to it with any anticipation at all.

The Exterminators... It's issue format, but it's all one big story, so I'm going to call it a G.N. .
...They Don't think it be like it is, but it do.

Do yourself a favor and re-read the two Century books that precede it then dive into 2009, you'll find it pays off.

I'm re-reading everything from volume 1 up to now (minus the excessive prose in the back of the books because I've already read it and it makes my head hurt a lot of the time).

I may get out my single issues the next time I'm going through my shrinking collection of comics. I sold The Black Dossier, I think it was, because I didn't like it. Whichever one had the 3D glasses.

There's a lot of intricate patterns and interplay between the Century books and each other. I love the pulp feeling in the early runs too though.

I recently re-read Morrison's New X-Men run and thought, eh, not as great as I'd remembered it. Good though for X-Men comics. Hell, great for X-Men comics, I guess.

I think I'll sell the run though.

Yeah I definitely caught a lot of stuff going on between books. I also enjoyed the stuff that came up from the Black Dossier (that was the one with 3D glasses). Without the Jess Nevins annotations, I'm pretty much in the dark as to what comes from where though. I can pick up a few things here and there. Did anyone catch the LOST reference?

New X-Men is my favourite X-Men! Although I definitely feel you on that Morrison thing. I've noticed that a lot of his work doesn't hold up well. I recently re-read the Invisibles and I got absolutely nothing out of it. I sold my books as I felt I had no use for them. I used to swear by that series.

Turns out with a lot of things, after I've read them a few times--like Keb's own example of The Invisibles--there are diminishing returns. Not with everything, there are many things I can't see myself parting with, at least now that is. And selling books to people around the world is most of what I do anyway, and I'm always buying things too.

Plus, I was going to post in the "show your bookshelves" thread Nietoperz started today, but after about pics of a dozen or so floor to ceiling bookshelves I got frustrated by some that were hard to photograph well because of the angle in the hallway and gave up, and I hadn't even yet gotten to the pics of the shelves in the storage unit or shop itself.

I'll be happy to be a few comics lighter, believe me. I wouldn't sell GM's Kid Eternity or Doom Patrol though, and I actually own I think three complete sets of his DP run and wouldn't sell any of them.
