Seven Soldiers of Victory/All Star Superman is pretty much where I stopped with Morrison. I love both those series but after that I had enough.

I loved Valis. Need to hit up some more PKD.

Joe the Barbarian is one of the best morisson books i ever read, with beuond awesome art. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

What do people have against meta fiction? I absolutely loved Animal Man. And Zenith was the first Morrison superhero story, before that he used to write short sci-fi stories for 2000AD.

I'm new to comics, and this forum, but I just finished All Star Superman and thought it was great. Next up is Watchmen, I've heard so much good stuff about it I just had to get it. Look forward to checking out some of the graphic novels mentioned in this thread.

Yeah I saw that one. About the diabetic kid? I wanted to give that a read but I don't think it's out in paperback yet.

A lot of people don't like meta-fiction because it tends to get weird and they can't handle it. I wrote a meta-fictional story for a class once and the meta aspect drove my instructor and half the class insane. I used to always do subtle things such as omniscient I comments that would annoy people. Not many people are welcome to it in fiction. It works on a completely different level in comics though (IMO) and that's why it works so well in Animal Man.

I saw some Classic Tomb of Dracula books at a store here for cheap. I almost bought them but didn't. I might go buy them. I await your input. :-D

That book exactly. The TPB shouldn't take long, the HC already has a few months.

I understand what you mean. For some reason experimental approaches work better in comic books work, even Eisner did a couple of really weird things in his time. But no one complained about it.

By the way, I absolutely love Sean Murphy, the artist in Joe the Barbarian, even if you don't like the story you will love Sean's art.

Everyone here should be reading 'The Bends'.

After a limited web release of my graphic novel 'The Bends: One Shot' on graphicly.com ( available here: http://grph.ly/Ox6npn ), I am looking for funds to print the first 100 copies to take to local comic shops. I have a rough quote from Ka-Blam for $350 to print the first 100 in a manga-sized format. If you can contribute you will get your name printed on the back credits page. How cool is that?
