![]() I really dislike Idie and Kid Gladiator, so far just one note characters. I do like KG’s bodyguard. Can’t they just kill off Idie already? Also hate Angel’s new characterization. Still can’t get into the new Hellfire Club, seems ridiculous to me. Really liked Kid Omega, especially when he’s hanging around Logan. Art was ok, I like how Nick Bradshaw draws Wolverine and Beast. But he was bad at drawing Kid Omega, more specifically his glasses. They always look too big for his head. |

Sometimes. I have the first two omnibus editions. Haven't got around to reading the others.
Spoilers but: Kid Gladiator is gone as of AvX. Warbird remains though. Angel's new characterization will last only a little longer. Idie more or less remains the same. There's a really good AvX tie-in with the Hellfire Club. |

Happy, Punk Rock Jesus, Oz Road to Oz, Judge Dredd Origins and skullkickers vol 3. |

Vol 2 is really cool but Vol 3 sucks ass. Those AVX tie-ins break the flow of the book. I actually like the Kid Omega design. It has that British Punk Rock feel to it. |

I have one last issue/chapter to go (the final issue of the U.S.Agent mini) but I might as well get this in now. This shit is pretty brutal. I don't know if it's because it's all broken up and a lot of it is just fragments from other comics where story-related stuff happened or if it's because it just feels like Gruenwald is making this shit up as he goes along. I did like the beginning and the idea of small scenes in other comics building up to a larger conclusion in the Cap comic was well executed. I kind of wish that those went on longer or crossed over into more issues and the thing climaxed in Cap 320 and ended. After that it just seemed like the Scourge thing was just being used as filler until the U.S.Agent mini. Here it almost feels like Gruenwald is just tying up the loose end because he has to. It's forced. Art is okay, typical run-of-the-mill 80s stuff. There's a pretty good issue of Marvel Fanfare drawn by Byrne in splash pages as well as some good Paul Neary/Denis Jahnke stuff in the beginning. The U.S.Agent mini does nothing for me though. Overall, I don't recommend this. |

Did you get Judge Dredd Origins? Oh my! Did I have something to do with it? |

I told you in your blog that I wold buy it. The book is poorly printed, badly cut pages and such. But I do have high hopes for the story, and its your fault. |

Good choice. Excellent world-building and characterization, unlike most superhero-themed comics you actually feel there's a lot at stake when the shit hits the fan. There's a real sense of urgency when you know some or all of these young heroes may not survive. Plus, Kid Vigilante is just bad ass. He's like the kid in Miller's ASBAR after 5 years in the trenches. |

Did you get the same edition I have? Anyway, even a poor edition can't prevent you from enjoying it. |

I got One edition. I wasn't aware there were more than One ![]() |

There's one that came out a couple of years ago, and then there's the one I bought which was printed in 2013. Both are from the same publisher but I don't know if they're the same or not... |
