Dr. Strange: The Oath - Not bad. I like the art. The story was good but it did very little to keep me going. I stopped reading and fell asleep after three issues then finished it later.

Black Panther vol. 3 issues 1-8 - I don't get the love. The characters are more annoying than interesting (especially Everett K. Ross AKA the worst narration device ever created), they storytelling jumps around here and there and everywhere and the art is more yucky especially in the first three issues.

Please tell me you're talking about classic John Ostrander & Luke McDonnel's Suicide Squad.

Sweet Tooth Vol. 1: Out of the Woods - I found this today for $4 and since I have only heard good things about this series, I decided to give it a try. Glad I did, Lemire is full of all kinds of bizarre ideas and this was no exception. Lemire's art lends an eerie vibe to an already intriguing concept. I'll have to keep my eyes open for the second volume.

I just read the first two volumes of Wonder Woman titled "Blood" & "Guts" (thx to my Secret Santa, Troy 8) ).
Holy shit, that was awesome! And I loved the ending to "Guts" with the Orion teaser.
Does the title maintain this quality? Should I splurge and get volume 3 right now? :D

I liked the Wonder Woman relaunch but never bothered with the second trade because of my DC boycott.

I might just get it though. I already bought a Kirby DC book the other day.

I don't buy DC's recent stuff, but everytime I see they're reprinting old stuff that I want I definitely buy it.

Yeah I do too. I kind of wish they would hurry up and reprint more of the Jack Kirby stuff in paperback.

Oh yeah!

There are many old comics that DC should reprint. It's like sometimes they don't pay attention to their own catalogue...

The Originals (by Dave Gibbons) - I've been wanting to read this for a while but never got around to picking it up. Finally found a copy for 9 bucks. Really good but short story. It sort of reminded me of A Long Hot Summer but with English mods and hovering sci fi bikes instead of being grounded in reality. A bit more violent than I expected too but not as bad as to be unbelievable. I enjoyed the black white grey feeling and layout of the book. This kind of thing would make a great film. I wonder how much of it is based on Gibbons' actual life too.
