Never heard of it, and Wikipedia was not much help.

But I did come across the bit that she wrote Rose & Thorn--I did like that limited series, it was in one of my bulk auction hauls from dead LCSs.

I feel the same way about a lot of Marvel writers. There's a few standouts and a lot of so-so writers.

The difference is that Marvel is exceptionally well coordinated and they know what they want to accomplish.

DC just seems to meander for the last several years.

But when you read a Marvel book, because things are coordinated, you suffer through the occasional Rick Remender or Jeff Parker book because at least you know it's pushing things forward in the story.

DC doesn't have that. You end up reading a good book by somebody like Peter Tomasi, but you know by the end of the day it's not really going to have any impact on the DCU other than in its own book. So it gets sort of shuffled to the side.

I have to say, in regards to your first list, I love Keith Giffen I wish he was back at Marvel.

I also happen to really enjoy Remender and Parker quite a lot too, they are great up and comers.

Annihilation was Giffen, yes. But there were a lot of guys who set the table for that, most especially Abnett & Lanning.

Are you sure about that? I do not recall them being on many pre annihilation titles, and even if they were most of them were rather mediocre. The main was the only excellent one out of the bunch.

Ahh that was a decent book but the art was some of the worst stuff I have ever seen in a mainstream comic book. I think they hired a 3rd grade classroom to do it.

Actually, Punch, I mostly agree with you (although I kinda liked Secret Six). I think s he could do great work if she had someone to co-write. She's great on ideas, but plotting and dialogue fall flat, imo.

Please, your mom has had more dick then a Richard convention so it's understandable that everything would seem small to that train tunnel.
