Kid Impulse wrote:The Galactus arc was my last with the book. I really wanted to see more of him and Norrin. I realise what they were trying to do, Galactus as a natural disaster, murder mystery on a dying planet and all that, but Harrow did nothing for me. I've dropped GoTG as well with Skrulls coming up

The Initiative issues were great because they had Rich reuniting with Vance and Robbie. If Rich interacts with Counter Force while he's back on Earth, I'll get that issue definitely/

I loved the way they treated Galactus, i thought it was surprisingly original that he didn't even get dialogue during the arc, Really emphasised his grandeur imo. I wasn't that big a fan of Harrow either until the final issue revelation about his ties to Galactus which i thought was a surprisingly original concept too.

I don't think he will be, i'm pretty sure it's just focusing on his family, though it does involve Project Pegasus.

there are definitely trades of Annihilation. and speaking as somebody who has become INCREDIBLY disenchanted with Marvel Comics as a whole over the las tseveral years, it is absolutely worth tracking down. IMO, best crossover fom either company in at least a decade.

Wait, is this sarcasm? Because I freakin' love that book, I just wish it could take a break from the tie-ins and let itself breath for a while. The last arc with Galactus is one of my favorite things that I read recently, and I even told you to read it!

Well, if you like Nova then there's an extremely high possibility that you'll like Guardians of the Galaxy too. It even uses Knowhere as its base of operations.

And it's just so good. Plus it has Rocket Racoon, which makes it an instant win in my book

Honestly, they all just play so well off of one another that they all end up being extremely entertaining. I mean, Groot is awesome and all he ever says is, 'Groot." :-D

chap22 wrote:that Nova was so good?

i mean seriously, i bought the first three issues and thought it was solid, then skipped the next 4 based on a decision to pick up Annihilation Conquest in trade form instead, and then after that, all i heard from guys like rdrsfn82 and twoheads and several others of you was how terrible it was, so i just decided not to pick it back up.

but then i figured why listen to you clowns, and picked up the "Knowhere" trade this week. this is good fun stuff! i can't believe how wrong you all were. now i gotta either wait for the next trade or try and track down 13-15 (which are all sold out at my LCS) so i can catch up, b/c i've finally found another Marvel book i enjoy (probably b/c it's set about 8 trillion light years away from all this Civil War, SHRA, Initiative, and Skrull invasion nonsense).

you should all be ashamed. :smt018

:P :-D

BAH! I've been saying this for months.

If you think Nova is good, you really need to check out Incredible Herc. It's just a great fun comic.

Peter Quill rules. GotG reminds me in some ways of Blue Beetle.

Nova is the only galactic Marvel hero that I buy monthly, and I really enjoy it. Hasn't been a real weak issue in the bunch, yet. Glad you like it, Chap!
