Heck, I haven't seen a single thing yet in Walmart with NuSupes on it. No toys, no t-shirts, nothing.

There can be only one explanation: Walmart does not approve of DC's current continuity.

It's pretty dumb that a year after the Nu52 launch, I still haven't seen any merchandise with any Nu52 characters on them.

Not really. There are iconic looks for these characters. Like my kid. She prefers classic to Jim lee. She's 9 and watches jlu. She watches super friends. She doesn't read johns.

Is that because she's never read the new version? Does she know it exists?

If not, it just goes to show how big a failure it is that DC hasn't done enough to push the Nu52 as its primary product right now. Where's the Nu52-based animated shows? Or toys?

DC market strategy still focused on Old Supes. It's like Ford trying to promote its 2013 line, but was using old Pinto and Edsel models instead of the 2013 Focus.

They only know the iconic looks, not what Jim lee drew. And we all know even the best comic only reaches a few thousand. I just think dc Will not be able to replace the iconic looks in people's minds. Plus the iconic looks are better

Then the New52 has failed. because DC has not made the effort to make the Nu52 Supes the version that comes to the public's mind. Why no NuSupes toys or notebooks or t-shirts in Walmart?

If DC actually market tested NuSupes vs. Classic. and the classic look won out, they wouldn't have gone with the new look in the first fraking place. It would have been dumb as $#!t to do otherwise.

Walmart is the big name in retail. Of course I'm gonna use that as my prime example.

You know other places where I haven't see any Nu52-based stuff (which does sell/has sold DC or Marvel licensed merchandise?)

You would think DC would be trying to push the Nu52 versions of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc. as the prime versions the company more in the marketplace.
