Wolverine's Heroism Knows No Bounds in New Wolverine Series

The epitome of superheroism to join supervillain team, use gun in new series.

Source: Marvel

Wolverine has been many things: hairy, smelly, an absolute buzzkill to read about, and secret fictional paramour to various comic book writers.  But now Wolverine takes on the role he was always destined to have: supervillain.  In the relaunched Wolverine series coming this February, Wolverine will join up with a crew of supervillains (banging one in the process, because the dude gets around) and carry a gun, all the while committing crimes in the name of kinship and irresponsibility.  Wolverine will also be wearing samurai armor because what's more samurai than sexing up criminals and carrying a Glock.

Marvel's got an interview up with Paul Cornell and Ryan Stegman about the new series here.

How the hell does this dovetail with the rest of the X-books? Also: ugh.

Good question. And isn't he still an active Avenger? (Don't know, don't read that title.)

The Offer is a minor super villain gang boss who has the power to make the best possible offer. It's not hypnotism; you're free to turn him down. But his offers tend to make people think twice.

I'm fairly certain Jason Aaron will spend an issue of Wolverine and the X-Men justifying his dual life as a gangbanger and schoolteacher. He just needs to cut out his foreplay with Storm in order to make the scheduling work.

Yeah... maybe they aren't explaining that right, but that does not sound like a super power.
