Half of the people or more responding on that blog couldn't even correctly interpret what happened in those panels. :lol:

And I'm not even sure Zechs did either.

The only differance this time is that I'm a lot older and am on the waning end of collecting and have no desire to see what they keep and what has changed.
If the characters are close enough to what I liked about the previous versions, I'll probably keep with WF for the long haul. If not, I'll just not buy it and once DC cancels Legion again, then I'll be done with them completely.

This. I'd say the majority of readers get mad when changes happen not because their favorite stories or characters (or versions thereof) were "erased," but that they wouldn't be able to read further stories about them.

What was already said. "Helena Bertinelli" was an alias that Earth-2 Helena adopted. Yeah, Bertinelli was a real person on NuDC-Earth but most likely was only a "mafia princess" and not a costumed hero.
This clears the way for new stories,, ties up loose ends, and gets rid of excess continuity baggage that everyone is always bitching about anyway.

Three years from now Dan Didio will leave DC and some new guy will take over and launch Crisis on Infinite Earth's Zero Hour Identity Crisis Mega-super-storm Extreme and reboot the whole damn thing again anyways

Yeah, I got that from the beginning. But I have to ask 2 questions.

1) What's so excessive about Bertnelli being the Huntress on Earth 0 and Wayne being the Earth 2 Huntress? In 5 days, we're going to have 2 Supermen, Batmen, Wonder Women (who all share the same civilian name), along with 2 Flashes, 5 Green Lanterns and a shit load of Robins. Even if only one could be Huntress, you still can't tell me that one or the other couldn't be running around at the same time.

2) Are you going to sit here and bet with me that Bertnelli is going to used in the next 2 - 5 years at this point? I don't know, but with the way DC has treated it's Post-CoIE developments, we're going to have to wait till at least Didio is out of the company before that happens.

So yeah, that subtext was never lost on me, but don't expect me to blindly hope. That's just not going to happen.
