Yeah, Punchy and I went over this already.

Peter meets Miguel in the 2099 universe.

That was a good story. (Thank you PAD)

Agreed. Spidey 2099 needs more love.

And now the flood gates open. How long before an FF crossover, Cap cross over, etc.

Admittedly an Iron Man crossover would have been entertaining back when Ultimate Iron Man was still wearing his bulky "realistic" armor. Talk about armor envy.

Yup, it was great seeing Johnny Walker with arms and legs again.

What do you mean? Because he once had a crossover with Peter Parker too? That doesn't change the fact that we've never seen these 2 characters meet before, and we've never seen these 2 universes meet before.

I will buy this, for the most obvious reason: It will be awesome, and interesting, to see the interaction between an adult Peter Parker and a young Miles Morales, written by a guy who has clearly written enough stories featuring Peter Parker at both ages to make it really good.

Make no mistake: Like any writer/fan dynamic, there are things I wish Bendis would do differently. But there are clearly things he does well, and this concept suits those strengths perfectly.

Even more importantly: If this thing is in continuity, Peter Parker will realize that Norman Osborn really does kill him. That has to be sobering, in and of itself, for writers to deal with in the future.

That's why stuff like this matters, why comics are great. It isn't always punching. It's about consequences and ramifications and realization, all of which help make depth in characterization.

It could be a great story, no doubt about it.

I'm just flashing back to the, I think, Quesada quote about running out of ideas once they go the Ultimate/616 crossover route.

I think Miles became more popular than expected so this is a 'why not movw'.
