Which ones? What percentage of your comics are indie? If not, why not?

*cough*pimpanindiethread*cough*

I read like...one on a monthly basis. I prefer to buy them in trades.

Does Image count?

Dark Horse?

If so, I buy 8 Indie books in single issue form.

Most of my Indie stuff is trades or OGNs, such as Demo, Bone, Scott Pilgrim, Sharknife, Gray Horses etc.

I read one indie. Two if Image stuff counts.

Image and Dark Horse don't count in my book. But maybe they do in other people's books.

I tend to pick up a few books from IDW and Oni every now and then, but a lot of it's tpbs and OGNs like Scott Pilgrim and Sharknife. I've got a fair pile of indie one-shots too, like the badassness that is Superfuckers by James Kochalka and Peng by The Reyy. Other than that there's a lot of Vertigo on my list most of the time.

Yeah, stuff from Oni and some other small press stuff. Whatever catches my eye in Previews or I hear about from someone else.

I think Image counts, with books like Fell or Walking Dead for example.

Image should count - they are independent, after all.

Red Sonja from IDW, plus Fallen Angel (does that count? It started at DC, after all), and Exalted, from ONI, I think. I'll probably be getting some DB books (Anita Blake adaptions), and Vicki's interested in IDW's Battlestar Galactica books (I think that's IDW). I belatedly learned that the Angel Old Friends arc was post Season 5, so I'll try to get those when I can.

But normally, Indie books scare me, like Vertigo books do.

Check out Local or Supermarket by Brian Wood, you might be really surprised.

I've heard so many good things about that, and I love Rucka, but I've never gotten around to picking any of it up. I really need to one of these days.

I love reading it in trades. I don't think I'll pick up the monthlies (esp. given that it doesn't really come out monthly anymore).

But it's great.

I wanna check out WhiteOut, too.
