Yeah, protector of the universe, the heavy powered stuff he could get himself into could potentially be glorious in the right hands.

The phrase is: "So damn heavy like a muthafuckin jewellery."

Not can.

Ah OK, that makes more sense, I thought you were asking me if it would be cool in some new slang I'd never heard before.

For me...either Martian Manhunter or Captain Atom. Take all that Doctor Manhattan crap away and just tell good superhero stories with Captain Atom.

But for God's sake. How there isn't an awesome Martian Manhunter series on the shelves every month is beyond me.

Clearly, I simply need to write it. :-D :-D

I agree with all your points. Quasar should be great (of course, I loved Gru's run through the first 33 issues or so back in the late 80s/early 90s before I just sorta stopped buying so much Marvel all at once). J'onn should be a no-brainer. and why DC didn't give Judd Winick the Capt. Atom book AND the JLI book coming out of JL: Generation Lost to open up the DCnu continues to completely befuddle and mystify me. quite possibly the dumbest creative-related decision they made in assigning those new books (I won't even get into how dumb it was to change completely the characters in most of those books again...that ground's been covered).

I'd have the last Legionnaire make a deal with "the devil" to travel back to the dawn of time and restart the whole DC universe with the sole purpose of inspiring the Legion of Super Heroes into existence.

In Marvel that'd be Mephisto, who would be the devil in DC?

(keeping in mind that Lucifer is from Vertigo)

Supposedly it was supposed to be Neron at one point, but I think that was scrapped. There is a ruler of Hell, too, forgot his name. These days, who the fuck knows?

Oh yeah, Nero from the Underworld saga. He also showed up in Superman comics.

These days, who the fuck knows?
Well said.

Didn't Baytor become Master of Hell in one of Ennis' books?

Can't believe he was able to slip that pun in... ;)
