I read Winter Soldier: The Bitter March this week. I enjoyed it, but it got me thinking about the title character's former series. I think that the Winter Soldier may be one of those characters that doesn't work well with an ongoing solo series, but does work when given the occasional limited series to star in.

I think the type of solo story he works best in is limited in nature, giving an ongoing a limited shelf life. With the occasional mini though, Marvel can wait until they have a strong story idea that they can throw him into.

Well, a monthly format worked when Brubaker was writing, but that's about it.

I'm waiting for positive word-of-mouth.

I'm not really feeling Remender's current Captain America run.
