Really. With all the unoriginal crap now flowing from the so-called "House of Ideas" it's time for a clock to measure their own brand of stupidity.
Hell, the movies like the upcoming (so-called) Fantastic Four alone should count as well for a clock.

It's 1987-88 with Marvel all over again with some of the big guns being replaced.

Those who ignore the past... go to work for Marvel and DC Comics.

Marvel is putting out a great deal of good stuff at the moment. Also, the FF movie has nothing to do with them.

Well, to be fair, it's not as if Cat has ever shown much awareness of how humour works before.

The thing is, though, while Marvel's regularly in the news for stupid stuff, it's not always their fault.

I mean, yeah, the Fantastic Four movie sounds pretty horrible, but that's FOX's fault, not Marvel's.

And it's not Marvel's fault that some lady saw Falcon engage in consentual sexual relations with a 23 year old and decided to call it "statutory rape" in a couple of articles.

And then there's the "Lady Thor" thing, which seems like pandering to the PC crowd and a backwards approach to diversity in comics... BUT it's being written by the same guy (Aaron) who's been knocking it out of the park lately. Maybe it's Angela. Maybe it's Valkyrie. I dunno.

It might not sound good on paper (like Superior Spider-Man), but it might be good (like Superior Spider-Man) and we all know it'll be undone the next time he's in a movie (again, like Superior Spider-Man).

So, yeah, a Marvel Clock might work, but it probably won't look like DC's. Marvel (luckily) doesn't have the same history of pissing off the creators, firing them in e-mails, listening to them fire off on Twitter, etc. (It DOES happen, but not nearly as often as with DC)

How do people keep forgetting and blaming Marvel for stuff Fox and Sony Studios do?

That's the point, to contrast the two while also not showing bias here.

As for the movie, there is without a doubt, clauses that enable Marvel to shut it down, yet they aren't.

Give it time, Marvel will do those very same things at some point. Also, sometimes the success of a creator now does not mean a win every time. Johns was terrific as a writer for a while there. Now?

I've asked this before and will ask this again;
How is adding characters who are not white straight males "Politically Correct"? The world is diverse, the writers are divers and the fans are diverse. They're not changing any terminology or (blantantly) sugar-coating anything as to not appear offensive. They're adding more characters in a way to reflect the real world.

I, personally, didn't like the Shatterstar and Rictor relationship. Not because it made two 3rd tier characters homosexual but because I liked Rictor with Wolfsbane. But it was no reason to blow a gasket.

I don't see a lot of new white straight male characters, might be I missed them, I don't read a lot of Marvel titles and practically none with new characters. But the Marvel Universe is full of them in lead positions. The Avengers, the X-Men and the Guardians of the Galaxy are all run by straight white males, so nothing to worry about. And don't worry, Thor and Wolverine will be back soon.

much like some liberals over use and poorly define "homophobia" some on the right see any use of diversity as political correctness

not all on either side, but have found that it is usually the loud ones on either side that make up their own definitions of hot button words/phrases
