No spoilers -- yet

“Atrocities” cranks the action up to eleven! Guy Gardner fought hard to get Space Sector 2814 – including Earth – under Red Lantern protection. So of course Atrocitus has chosen Guy’s homeworld as the arena for their murderous final battle! Red Lanterns will die! Traitors will emerge (and maybe die)! Rivers will run red! It’s the first-ever RED LANTERNS ANNUAL, and it’s absolutely unmissable !

This solicit was not kidding ! Soule delivers 48 pages of non-stop action, unexpected twists, big explosions and some very clever lines along the way. Miguel Sepulveda deserves some major props for his artwork as well as Chris Sotomayor's great coloring. There are a few panels where Sepulveda's pencils get a tad uneven but overall he produces some top-notch work here.

This issue also gives one of the best lines as Gardner goes to Gotham to seek Batman's help as a confrontation almost happens:
Batman: Wouldn't take long Gardner. About one punch I'd say."
Guy: "Not in this universe, pal."

The last page also reveals Atrocitus' ultimate goal setting the way for issue and #34 and what could lead to September's Red Lanterns: Futures End #1 tie-in !
