I didn't want somebody from Alchemax to immediately discover Miguel's identity and try to exploit him, so his quick thinking was a fun twist. However, I agree that it wasn't as strong as the first issue.
I think issues like this have their place, and once again don't get me wrong, I did enjoy this issue for what it was. Having said that, I'm not sure that place is the second issue overall. the first issue was fun and fast paced and I was expecting more of the running forward that the series started off with. Instead the second issue put the brakes on creating a start and then immediately slow down feeling to the plot. It's makes for an overall series pacing that seems somewhat unsatisfying at the moment.
