There is a free preview of Wycthes #1 up at Comixology.

This is Scott Snyder and Jock's new book for Image coming out next month, I believe. This is the team that wrote the Black Mirror storyline in Detective Comics, the run that gave Snyder the full time Batman gig that has been one of the bright spots of Nu52. Despite the crappy ending of The Wake, I am very excited about this title.

I wish I had your optimism. :(

He's an awesome ideas guy, but he's yet to show me that he's a great writer. I'll give it a shot out of the fleeting hope that THIS is the book that will prove me wrong.......

American Vampire and Batman are awesome. The Wake is the only wholly bad experience I've had with him.

I don't know what to make of the preview. It is enticing enough, confused about the witch angle. Seems more like an alien abduction book from those six pages.

Jock's art seems to have changed up some. Reminds me of Templesmith, except without the computerized background/coloring deal.
