Nowadays Canadians leave for the winter. On the west coast here, we go to Hawaii or Nevada (not me, though, can't afford it). Back east they go to Florida and the Caribbean. Fifteen years from now, we'll all be staying home.

Well, we're having a heatwave here in Gothenburg. It's about 10 degrees warmer than the seasonal norm...

Not all Canadians, just the old ones with money.
They're called Snowbirds.

I used to called Florida Michigan's third peninsula.
It's kind of erotic, when you think about the geography of that;)

One article said it was the biggest since the one that hit in Russia in 1904. And that it hit with the force of Hiroshima. Though I suspect that last one is just short hand for "really big".

I'm sure that if something hit Scandinavia with the force of Hiroshima I would have heard about it by now...

I'm sure if something as big as
Tunguska hit, we'd all have heard about it.

So it's what, now, 12 degrees fahrenheit outside?
