I picked this issue up on a whim mainly because I liked the Jae Lee cover. It's surprisingly .. not bad.
JM DeMatteis's writing probably gets credit for moving this issue along. Even though it's dialogue heavy it doesn't bog down the action. While the Stranger and Spectre get into a fairly lengthy cosmic chest-bumping pissing match, Dr Thirteen gets a surprise visit from The Question.

Afterwards we cut back to Spectre and Stranger getting called out by God in the form of a Scottish Terrier.

Damnit. Now I may have to add this title to my regular Pull List.

Been buying PS from the start. Very good. However, with the recent cancellations, I wonder about this books future.

So far it's gotten decent support. As of November:

09/2012: Phantom Stranger #0 -- 40,103
10/2012: Phantom Stranger #1 -- 33,350
11/2012: Phantom Stranger #2 -- 24,979

Yeah, it's declining but that's still decent numbers for a Phantom Stranger title
