Since Fables #136 came out December 31, should it not be up there with these?
Or is it going to be considered as being from January?

Wow - for the first time in a long time, the ones I have liked the most (Fairest & Saviors were my nominations) have dominated the month. Heck, put December 31st Fables in there and the 'right' winners continue. I say this because it makes the decision for just one so difficult.

Fairest #21 Adam Hughes is a god and this cover is just excellent
Astro City #7 - Alex Ross has likewise made a career from just covers - and this is another excellent sample
Batman and Two-Face #26 - Wow, this simple design is just so provocative!
The Saviors #1 - minimalist yet draws one in to wonder whats inside.

Regulars to the Cover of the Week threads probably know I'm into covers being covers (not art pieces that could be slapped onto any issue regardless of story content) and each issue here is about the book itself and not just a 'poster' with a masthead tossed in.

My pick...

Gleason's Bat & Two-Face. It's just too awesome!

(and it would top Fables as well if that had been admitted)
