)The Hollywood Reporter is... uh... reporting that Anthony Mackie (Hurt Locker, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) is in negotiations to play Sam Wilson, aka. The Falcon in 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier motion picture.

This might explain why Falcon is shown in the promotions for the upcoming Avengers Assemble television cartoon. The important casting question now is, who will play Redwing?

Mackie is one of my favorite black actors at the moment, he could pull it off, but he does kinda have a baby face.

i would much rather prefer

and I'm sure he's been approached about the role as well.

I don't think someone needs a super serious face to be good in a super hero movie.

Also, Redwing/talking to birds is probably the first thing they cut when adapting the Falcon to the Marvel movie-verse.
